KS3S Countdown to Blast Off!
KS3S have started learning about this term’s new topic - Space. In Maths, they enjoyed counting backwards from 10 to make the rocket blast off into the air. Students then engaged with a range of different space themed maths activities.
KS4L- Rainbow Catchers
As part of our CREST Science Award, pupils in KS4L went on a ‘rainbow hunt’.
Pupil’s learnt about rainbows and then went into the local community to ‘catch’ the colours of the rainbow on their colour palettes.
KS5L Lunch in Unit 15.4.24

KS5W Percussion Instruments
KS5W were playing with percussion instruments today. They got to pick which instruments they wanted to play and then learnt a new song.
KS5L at Up Holland
Last Thursday, KS5L performed at Up Holland High School.
We were performing as part of the Arts Festival “Kaleidoscope”, in front of a huge audience.

KS5W Lunch in unit 27.3.24
Students from KS5W enjoyed making chips with southern fried chicken and made cornflake cakes for Easter. The students practiced peeling potatoes, melting chocolate and cooking chicken. All of the students enjoyed taking part in all areas.
KS5S Immersive room 27.3.24
Students from KS5S enjoyed time in the immersive room and exploring under the sea. Students enjoyed some sensory massage and relaxing music.
KS5 S & W Tuck shop intervention
Students from KS5 S and W have taken part in counting tuck shop ready to sell to students at break time. All of the students enjoyed being able to do this and learning valuable counting skills. They also worked in teams and also with students from other classes.
KS5 L Lunch in unit storing our food
This term in our Lunch In Unit lessons we have been learning how we correctly store food. Students had to decide whether it had to be put away in the fridge, the freezer or the store cupboard. They have completed this on a weekly basis and I am delighted to say they are all brilliant at it so…
KS5W Breakfast Barms
KS5W continued with their Business Enterprise learning and opened up another breakfast cafe for staff. They cooked sausage and bacon and buttered bread rolls ready to serve to staff. Students are really enjoying running this small business. Watch out for out next pop-up cafe in the hall.
KS5L Creative writing
Students from KS5L took part in a guided read of book The Zoo Vet. Students engaged with the story and answered questions in relation to the story. The students became vets for the day and took part in creative writing in continuing the story for what happens next.
KS4L: Southport Trip
Student’s in KS4L, enjoyed a trip to Southport for their CLL topic ‘holidays’.
Pupil’s enjoyed going to the park, playing in the arcades, having a drink in the cafe and buying something from the shops.
