Year 10 students really enjoyed their mini cafe enterprise project. They offered brekkie baps to staff for £2.00 and made a small profit which they will explore further in their maths lessons next week. Everyone worked as part of a team and loved every minute of this learning. Well done!!!

Our Year 10 pupils have had a brilliant week. To keep cool in the warm weather, we took part in water play, which was a huge hit! We’ve also had fun exploring music and science, with plenty of smiles and curiosity all round.

Our year 11’s have had a lovely first day at Midstream garden centre. All the students have been kitted out with fresh uniform to prepare them for 2 weeks of hard work. Our students will be spending 2 weeks in the horticulture department and working in the kitchen.

What a fabulous first week back we’ve had in 4L! The class have returned with lots of enthusiasm and energy. It’s been wonderful to see everyone socialising with their friends, settling back into routines, and engaging with their learning.

We worked hard in PE today practicing our fine and gross motor skills. We used our core strength to sit down and kick and throw balls too. 

Finally, we enjoyed a relaxation session. 

Students took part in choosing a Keyring to make as part of their Design Technology lesson.

Students chose individual designs and watched a demonstration of how the School Laser Cutter Machine works to create precise designs. The students found the process fascinating.

KS4W loved their community visit, using the public bus, to look at flowers and gardening equipment. They finished off their morning with a visit to a cafe. Students were impeccably behaved at all times. Even members of the public and the cafe staff commented on how well behaved and polite students…

KS4C have been learning about healthy eating and unhealthy food choices. They decided to cook a fake away and will compare the calories from their fake away against the usual take away version to see which is healthier.

All students worked as part of a team and helped each other.

Students built on skills learned through PE such as balance, core strength, fine and gross motor movements and teamwork. They loved playing Simon Says and then balloon bounce.

KS4W are learning all about horticulture during the summer term. For our first week, we went on a bird hunt around the school grounds and then a short walk in the community to see what birds we could spot. We then made some homemade bird feeders and hung them outside our classroom for the wildlife…
