Week 2 in KS3S
KS3S have had a jam packed week of fun exploring new smells and textures, and using our communication strategies to request and comment. We’ve also enjoyed painting, exercising, counting, playing and continuing to make new friends.
First week back for KS3S
Our students in KS3S were joined by our 4 new Year 7 students this week making us a new class of 8. Students have spent this week building relationships with staff, and each other, and getting familiar with routines again. We’ve enjoyed our morning group time, singing and saying hello to one…
Our final full week in KS3S
Lots of happy moments on our new playground, visiting Sandy Lane shops and park, The Hub cafe, samba drumming and working on our fine motor skills.
New KS3 Playground!
We absolutely LOVED accessing the new playground in KS3 on Wednesday! The playground supports our school’s Thrive approach and school values, and it was amazing to see how much it supported student’s friendships and communication and interaction skills.
Samba drumming
Students enjoyed a samba drumming workshop on Monday where they enjoyed exploring drums and shakers and doing some call and response games.
This week in 3S
It’s been a lovely week practicing communication, enjoying visits from Teddy the dog, feeding the guinea pigs, swimming and a park visit!
Fenney Court visit
Students in KS3S visited Fenney court on Monday to donate some flowers as part of their ASDAN careers program. Students accepted a new environment and represented school brilliantly. They enjoyed a party with the residents and demonstrated all of the school values.
Anderton Centre Trip
Y9 students had a fantastic day at the Anderton Centre. They enjoyed a nature walk, hunting for bugs, building a fire, toasting marshmallows, low ropes and a boat ride!

This week in KS3S
This week we have been practicing the core words “good” and “bad”. We’ve also been refining our mark making skills, recapping number skills and enjoyed lots of sensory activities and time outside with friends.

It’s been a very busy, and very hot, week in KS3S. We’ve enjoyed lots of water play, time outside, communication activities and had a fantastic day at Sports Day!
Sports Day
KS3S had a fantastic Sports Day and truly represented the theme of “participation” by trying out a range of activities alongside their peers. Well done KS3S!
Water play fun!
KS3S have been keeping cool in the heat by participating in water play with peers. Students demonstrated our school value of “friendship” and practiced taking turns with the water pistols.
