Students in KS3S visited Fenney court on Monday to donate some flowers as part of their ASDAN careers program. Students accepted a new environment and represented school brilliantly. They enjoyed a party with the residents and demonstrated all of the school values. 
 

Y9 students had a fantastic day at the Anderton Centre. They enjoyed a nature walk, hunting for bugs, building a fire, toasting marshmallows, low ropes and a boat ride!

This week we have been practicing the core words “good” and “bad”. We’ve also been refining our mark making skills, recapping number skills and enjoyed lots of sensory activities and time outside with friends. 
 

It’s been a very busy, and very hot, week in KS3S. We’ve enjoyed lots of water play, time outside, communication activities and had a fantastic day at Sports Day! 
 

KS3S had a fantastic Sports Day and truly represented the theme of “participation” by trying out a range of activities alongside their peers. Well done KS3S!

KS3S have been keeping cool in the heat by participating in water play with peers. Students demonstrated our school value of “friendship” and practiced taking turns with the water pistols.

This week we’ve enjoyed communication, Attention Autism, maths, a park visit, PE, the bikes, sensory relaxation and many more wonderful things! This week we really have embraced the school value of “friendship”!

KS3S have been enjoying accessing oral sensory kits to give them additional oral stimulation prior to teeth brushing. This intervention has led to students now accepting tooth brushes in their mouths, and some students are being completely independent with their teeth brushing.

Students in KS3S had a brilliant final week of Summer term 1. They’ve enjoyed PE, communication games, crafts, immersive room sessions and time outdoors. 
 

We’ve had a brilliant week this week and have enjoyed playing together and spending lots of time in the sunshine.

This week we have enjoyed our Topic Day on Wednesday and attended a performance from a local theatre group. We’ve also enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine and started our project making planters to donate to the local community. 
 

We’ve had a super busy week in KS3S. We’ve loved welcoming back a student who has been off for a little while and celebrated a birthday on Friday. We’ve also been out on the bikes and to the park in the lovely sunshine, practiced our counting skills, enjoyed a sensory story in the immersive room…
