Students in KS3 enjoyed a sensory communication session in the immersive room and used their AAC devices and core word board to communicate their requests, thoughts and feelings.

Students across school have been enjoying weekly visits from the North West Ambulance service. This week, along with other classes, KS3S enjoyed dressing up as paramedics and exploring the ambulance as part of their Careers program. 

Students in 3S enjoyed asking spiders out of cocktail sticks, raisins and grapes! 

Students in KS3S enjoyed dancing to ‘I’m your man’ by Wham! for their ‘Squiggle while you wiggle’ session that helped them to build the gross motor skills needed to refine their mark making. Students then did some dough disco exercises followed by mark making and letter formation practice. We had…

KS3S had a wonderful day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubille. We decorated cakes and biscuits, made crowns, had a tea party and played games outdoors with our KS3 friends. We even had a visit from Matilda, Frank and Mrs Darcy!

Students in KS3S have enjoyed learning about how plants can be eaten and provide us with food. Today they picked vegetables from the soil, washed them, chopped them, and followed a recipe to make vegetable soup. Great team work!

Students in KS3L enjoyed making Mocktails in their functional maths lesson today. They were challenged to design a mocktail that was exactly 250ml in capacity. It was lots of fun! 

Students in the MATP/MOVE intervention thoroughly enjoyed playing a range of games this morning aimed at developing their motor skills and core strength.

A huge well done to one of our students who has completed all of her home learning challenges this week. Fantastic work.

Well done to some of our KS3 students who are having to work at home this week and have been completing different challenges. Preparing their own lunch, organising shopping, accessing the community and looking after house plants. Fantastic work - keep it up!
