Students in Miss Wilson’s Science class had fun making Oobleck to test different states of matter. They found out that Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid and got very messy!

In Autism & Me we have been looking at what makes us ‘Unique’. This week we have been focusing on our talents.

We have been working hard in maths learning about seasons, months of the year and days of the week. As part of this we have been practicing our counting using season themed sensory trays so we maintain our previous skills while learning new information based on our topic.

Some of our KS5 pupils enjoyed a day with Liverpool John Moores University exploring DNA and Scientific heroes.

KS5s have been having fun making friends.

KS5W enjoyed thinking about the activities they can do which help them feel good and about the people who can help them when needed.

KS5 students took part in a Science Workshop in school run by staff and students from Liverpool John Moores University. They took part in a DNA extraction experiment using pieces of fruit and a Creative Writing and Arts workshop. 

KS5W have been studying War Horse.  As part of this they looked at what happened to wounded soldiers and had a go at bandaging each other.
