KS5W Confidence in using public transport.
KS5W loved experiencing travelling on the public bus today. All students carried their own Now cards and scanned them to gain access to the bus. They each thanked the driver, sat down and followed instructions while representing the school through modelling excellent behaviour. Well…
KS5W Music Making
We had another superb music session today. We are learning to play Jingle Bells using coloured notes and the letters of the notes. We practiced our songs for the panto and finished off the afternoon listening to relaxing music in the immersive room. What a lovely afternoon.

Today we had a visit to Midstream Cafe as an award for having 99% attendance. Students enjoyed snacks and refreshments before returning to school.
Gym Swim with KS5 W
Today KS5 W went to Nye Bevan Gym, where some of the students went swimming and the others did a gym session. All of the students enjoyed themselves interacting with the staff and their peers.

Liverpool John Moores University Science Workshops
KS5 students took part in a Science Workshop in school run by staff and students from Liverpool John Moores University. They took part in a DNA extraction experiment using pieces of fruit and a Creative Writing and Arts workshop.
KS5W Music making
KS5W loved exploring the glockenspiels and learned that each note is different and that they can play the notes softly or loudly. Students began to learn a simple melody for Jingle Bells.
KS5W British Values Voting for Student and Eco Council
Students enjoyed learning about the role of the student and eco council representatives. They learned about voting and then took part in an election for student and eco council. They voted using their ballot papers.
KS5W Lunch in Unit 18/10/23
Another triumph in the kitchen this week. KS5W loved making pizza bases and then they chose and added their toppings. They also made a beautiful mint chocolate Aero cheesecake. They were both delicious. Afterwards everyone helped with tidying up. What a lovely…
KS5H PDP Vandalism or Art?
KS5H have been learning about graffiti and considering if it is street art or vandalism. They have researched this area, looked at graffiti in their locality and surveyed their peers for their thoughts. They have created their own graffiti for a display.
KS5W War Horse Sensory Story
